$850 still seems high to me. But I guess if it came with the original box, still had the OM "Passed" sticker, and was in mint condition I could maybe see it. The way lens prices are ever increasing they almost seem like a better hedge investment than gold and silver coins. Maybe I should trade in my gold coin collection (horde) for lenses.
I do like Zuiko lenses though - like IDURITA! There are so many nice ones! (a few losers too tho - at least on film).
Speaking of lens performance that's one good thing about M4/3 format. Lenses that were (are) soft in the corners on a FF camera render clean on M4/3 as if they didn't. One of the reasons I went for that format - maximum fun factor.

Maximum fun factor is debatable. If you like UWA, what are you going to do on m4/3's? The sharpness of the shots with my alts generally increased and CA was reduced when I moved from APS-C to FF. Suddenly my Nikkor 20mm was an UWA. Maximum fun factor.
When people talk about crop sensors using the "sweet spot" of FF lenses, they usually neglect to mention that the abberations present in the center (like CA) are also magnified.

There's a Japanese "Optics Catalogue" with that lens in it? Cool! Where at? Anything I can get to on-line?
You can find them in the camera shops - Hattori @ Fushimi have those. Cost few thousand yen and published yearly I think. Perhaps not "Optics Catalogue" but they cover all optics ever produced and include the original RRP and current trend pricing.
A few months ago I ordered an 35-80 from KEH for ~$650. After 2 weeks of waiting, they told me that they lost my order and had to refund my money . Still looking forward to having one since but with the current price, it may never come.
So, I made a good deal, especially that the lens is in 1A shape.
Sounds good keeping in mind the current exchange rates. I want to confirm if the lens in the shop I found is indeed 35-80/2.8 since I can't find any reference to OM 28-80/2.8. In that case at 67.000yen it is a true bargain...
I've been lurking for a long time the alt forum, and became a zuiko adept in the process, well manual focus lenses in general, so here's my contribution to the zuiko thread!
Bif, You mentioned that you try to get lenses for about $10...was that the case with 75-150/4? I found quite a few of them around, but the quality is questionable. Is your glas ok?
Yeah, it was ¥1,000 ($12). I thought it was pretty good - for the price. There was a tiny spot on the outer perimeter of the second element in from front - probably fungus but it's clean-off-able I'm fairly certain. It died before it had a chance to dig in - or it's actually not fungus. I haven't cleaned it yet if you wanna see some shots of it. After I clean it I'll post those too so you can compare if you'd like.
Other than that and a small scuff on the hood (which someone applied touchup dye to) all other elements and barrel surfaces are immaculate - operation is 100% too. Here's those images (max the browser for side by side layout):
Nice one!
Looks just as good as the 35-70/3.6 I picked up that last time we met up..
Most of 75-150/4 I find here for at least 2.000 with a lot of scratches on rear elements...
