Looks interesting. Did you make those yourself?
I tried two micro-drivers in the notches, but perhaps those needs to be joined, since I can't really apply even pressure..
No that's just a pic I got off the web instead of photographing mine. I got both of mine out of the trashcan about 18 years ago. I had a friend who would go around on sodai-gomi days and hunt for large chunks of aluminum and copper for his smelting and sculpturing art/hobby. I would tag along and help to break stuff down and I picked up quite a few useful items along the way - relative to this discussion, a few thousand hand-tools.
Cool!
Not much of that these days. Or I don't really see anything like that anyway...
The idea is great..I will toy around a little and see if I can make one instead...
I always hate being the last post on a page... So I quoted yours... besides that's an awesome dragon shot! Dragonflies are such weird-azz bugs... The way their heads move and etc. Very interesting to watch!
Olympus Zuiko 50mm f/1.4 at f/2.8 on the GH1, 60% crop with light PP
Common English Name: Oriental longheaded grasshopper
Common Japanese Name: 精霊−蝗虫 shouryou-bata
Pronounced kinda like: Show-lee-yo-oo Butta)
Translated: Spirit Grasshopper. And it gets it's name because they look like the boats that carry human spirits back to heaven after visiting here for obon.
(Obon is kinda like the Japanese equivalent of the Mexican Day Of The Dead). The grasshoppers also come out during the same month. They're pretty cool looking aye?
Latin Name: Acrida cinerea antennata
Got improvised rubber tool today and removed the front plate problem free....Though..aperture lever is really stuck and won't barge. Besides, there seems to be mold or oil inside and I need to remove front element, but there are 2 rings with the notches requiring the spanner...ffs!! I guess I will have to get one anyway...

Which of the OM lenses are less than $400, small in size, stellar in performance, and have focal length usable both on FF and m4/3 (2x)?
that depends almost entirely on your definition of usable focal length.
the good budget lenses, imo, and considering size, are the 24/2.8, 28/3.5, made in japan 50/1.8, silvernose 50/1.4, very high serial number 50/1.4, 50/3.5 macro and 100/2.8. Also in your price range is the 21/3.5 if youre not too picky about condition. Just outside of 400 is the 50/2 macro which I personally think is a very nice lens. The 28/2 is most excellent but I think is 350 or something similar on ebay so it represents less of a good deal.
there are a few lenses Im on the fence about; mostly the 85/2 and the 35/2. not that I think either is bad, just not worth the price given their performance.
edit: 35mm prices are higher than I remembered them being.
