Got the 19mm V2 on friday. Man that lens is tiny compared to the V1. I think both lenses have merit though and will round off the sets with it again in the future.
Here is 2 shots at sunset with the Leica R 35mm 1.4 from 1980 and the 19mm 2.8 V2 from 1990.
The 19v2 is a tour de force Mandler design. Especially since it's a "classical", if you will, design, compared to the other more contemporary 90s lenses that started including ample aspherics and special low dispersion glass and so forth.

Just joined the Leica R club Bought a Leica 28mm f/2.8 Elmarit-R II and took my first test shots going home from work today. I really like the rendering and colors of the lens. Still very early days, but I have seen a lot of nice pictures taken with this lens, especially in this tread! So I am very optimistic.
This lens seems to make even boring light conditions and subjects look more interesting and real.
Congratulations on your purchase, you won't regret it. The only 28mm I can think of that's "better" or more "useful" (other than M glass), is the Otus 28, and that's more a confused boat anchor than lens.
Good photo, too. Notice the microcontrast and being able to make out the individual snow flakes almost to the extreme corners (where in focus, as there's a bit of field curvature).
