Hi Thomas, i didn't get that APO Telyt , it climbed out of the reasonable zone but i'm in no hurry as i have CZJ 200mm f 2.8 and it's quite good.
Nice swan shot Rolf !.
Thomas ...Krieg is terrific, but you are all stunning.
...what wonderful eyes you all have, its not a matter of some good images, they are all amazing.
thrice, ht PeterGlaso, Rolf, sebboh, tran, Edgars, zombii, psquared, this is like a big bag of sugar
I love those lion-shots and prefer animals to war-memorials any time.
Let's see what I can sell to get myself an MR-Telyt 500. This really is an astonishing lens.
It is amazing how sharp this mirror lens is.I tried several mirror lenses - the best was Zeiss Mirotar, but still softer than any decent "conventional" glass and your 500 Leitz.

I can't really see how you can say that from looking at web-sized and heavily sharpened shots.
Rolf,
Your pictures are truly amazing (those giraffe pics, with that mirror bokeh, wow).
Anyone know why there are no 21mm f/4 (super angulon) pictures posted? Im looking to get one with a few others to convert to nikon f mount (35 f/2, 21 f/4, 100 app macro, and an R7 for $3000, good deal?).
Are they all compatible (i.e. easily convertable) with the nikon mount.
Thanks, and I hope to be posting some pics here soon....
The 28mm Elmarit 1st version has been much criticized in various groups as being one of the worst Leica-R lenses, not better than any other 28mm lens by other producers that cost only half or even less.I got mine quite cheaply at a camera-fair, it is very handy and good when traveling, and I think it is very usable. I already posted a few pictures I took with lense in this thread, here are a few more, all @ f 5.6
The first two show a muslim gentleman from the state of Sindh, who loved to have his pictures taken. He was a singer of muslim religious songs, as I later heard.
The colours are like they came out of the camera (RAW).He wore some kind of make-up. The white in the turban is overblown, but what the heck.
