I paid 1700€ for my Summilux-R 35mm new, so if yours is in good condition it's a very good price. Worth the extensive mirror shave (~2.5mm it took on my 5D mk II).

Here are a few from me with the Apo-Macro 100mm. They show a real devil's violinist, who often performs in an underground passageway in Frankfurt. Not only does he play virtuoso stuff like Paganini and YsaÏe, he also plays it pretty well.
All pictures @ f 4 IS0 1250. I didn't always hit the correct focus well and also have problems with the reflexions of the light on his bald head, but I put them here anyhow, as this guy has marvellous facial expressions combined with an extraordinary body language.

Thrice, how does 180mm or 180mm with 1.4x look on your 5D Mk2 with shaved mirror?
180mm Voigtlander was better than the 100mm APO-Macro-Elmarit, due to location of the rear element. I no longer have an SLR, and sold all my R lenses with it. Never used a Leica 180mm unfortunately.
@sebboh: Those are some wonderful shots, but the bokeh looks pretty nasty on the last one. Did you do strong global sharpening (worsening the double lines in the OOF areas)?

to be honest the shot is probably nearly a year old, so i don't remember what i did. do you mean the front bokeh or the back bokeh? the back bokeh looks ok to me, the front looks ugly, but i can say that the front bokeh from this lens always looks ugly. it seems to be optimized for back bokeh at the expense of front bokeh. as a general rule i try to not have anything in front of the focal plane in most of my shots. you can see in the flowers in front on the first shot the bokeh is pretty ugly as well.
I can see your arsenal of Leica Lenses is growing almost daily. If I would only use it, I also would try to get a 400mm Telyt, as your pictures show the potential of this lense clearly.
Five pictures taken with the Apo-Telyt 3.4/180mm, all wide open.
The first one is of course the Half Dome in Yosemite NP, the other four were taken in Monterey.
