Worldinlens: do you follow 2013 junior hockey tournament?
zhangyue: nice shots. How do you make your kids stand still? My little nieces are impossible to capture!
It appears that fast f/1.2 - 1.4 lenses suit you style and most subjects, at least judging from photos you post on FM. Voigtlander supposed to come (delayed) with Classic Heliar 75/1.8 for Nikon AIS. It may fit your bill.

Sunrise in the West:
Wordenful last landscape! And 6-rays stars of R28
P.S. I'm not a hockey man, just a snake-toy of daughter's gift near New Year tree

Jako, Since I do these all the time, it became nature response. If you look those picture, some of them are not really stand still, but I do it very quickly For many people, do manual focus with Kids picture make no sense, but for me it is a lot more fun than with 24-70 2.8G, and my picture a level better than use 24-70G because of whole process start from thinking to final capture.
My keeper rate is very high, more than 70% for what I do, cause most of time I know I am in focus before hit the shutter. Capture the moment ALL by you is the fun part for MF. I think it is a similar process with portraits and wild life picture shown in this thread by Dauglas and Sebboh and all others...
I had VC 75 1.8 for leica, since it has VERY strong focus shift, I never really like it. I won't buy anything native AIS for its focus ring turning the other way anymore, it slow me down.
zhangyue, I am trying out M-mount cameras and thus need some fund, unfortunately. I thought hard about this and decided I can make do with 80mm 1.4 Lux on my Canon 5D.
crazeazn, thanks for letting me know. I uploaded the photos via FM. The garbled up characters might be due to FM?

Thanks.
I guess your kids are used to have camera pointing at them frequently. My nieces do anything and everything not to stay put, so for me the name of the game is to wait till they eventually ignore the camera (and me) or get tired :)
Do you mean, pick-a-ridiculous-number-and-then-wait-5-years-for-the-market-to-catch-up? Sounds like a certain seller with lots of Yashica ML 21's and Xenotars.

johnahill: Thank you. I also admire clouds formation and colours in your shot.
Still waiting to test the Elmarit-r in more interesting weather rather than blue-steel/gray we have on almost daily bases (and that's in between rain
For now I am discovering its uniform sharpness across the frame, which is clearly visible in your shot. I feel that at f/4-5.6 should be a good starting point for lanscaping work. Mind you, it's not bad wide open.
