Silly dog trampled the tripod, with my 5DMkII and Leica 100/2.8.

I wonder if they reduce turbulence in the airstream like the wing tips on modern aircraft? I see them on gliding birds as well as ducks and geese - Tibetan lammergeiers and the like. Must give more feel for what is happening, in any case.
I got within 20 metres of two giant vultures last month, telyt, you would have loved it. These and bar-headed geese are among the ones that hold the highest flight records. Huge wingspan, our driver honked his horn at them, so they took off. They looked like goats, around that size.

I am looking out for a Cron 35. Is there any optical difference between a Cron with model #11115 and #11339 ?
Would the new Leica M be able to work with R lenses without rom?
And lastly, I have the impression that all lenses with "Leitz Wetzlar" on the front bezel are made in Canada. However, lately I am seeing more of these made in Germany. Should I be worried these have been opened up and replaced?
