Toothwalker, Very nice photos - from Cuba? I agree with the earlier compliment too - the B&W of the two men with wine, with the matron looking sideways is a great one. Thanks for sharing.
cheers, Steve
Thanks. It is not Cuba, but Chile. Here are two captures from the same trip, but with the D2.8/21.
Very nice shots, tooth, but is the white balance in the second shot has a lot of orange in it. What would it look like with a more blue sky and more green tree, I wonder?

I can remove the color cast from the whitecaps, and the sky turns blue. But the tree ... I don't know. It was very dimly lit by distant street lights and orange is not unrealistic.

That looks a million times better! I didn't realize that there were street lights on the scene, I guess there is a bay behind you? Very nice!
Can't wait to contribute to this thread... my 50mm f/1.7 Planar just arrived today but the adapter is somewhere between here and Taiwan still. lol Blast!
I've already been fiddling with the aperture and focus rings... wow! faaaantastic!

In front of me we have the Pacific and behind me there is just a village. But it is relatively far behind me and the scene was so dark that I needed to compose with the help of actual shots. It seems that your tip resulted in an image that is generally better appreciated than the first version. Thanks!
I am just about to buy 5D mark 2 and I wanted to know what adapters are you guys using? I have heard about clearance issues and infinity focus being a problem? What are the best adapters to use with these so that both of these issues are resolved?
