Erm, unless there is a Yashica 80/2, I think you might have stumbled upon the Contax 645 AF 80mm f/2, which is a fully electronic lens. It can only be used on smaller cameras via a Contax 645-Contax N adapter converted by conorus, the last I knew. They can't be worth much, as they were the kit lens for this system. Around here, maybe 350-450 Euro or so? Nice lens, nice look, but not that sharp until stopped down a bit. A Contax 85/2.8 might be a better bet.

If you are talking about the C/Y 85/2.8, I would say $300-$400 depending on condition. That being said, there is one on the B&S board for $260.
Oh, damn! You guys are right of course... it's the 85/2.8 And to make matters worse it was my own type-o. The reserve paper says Contax Sonnar 85/2.8 right on it. I feel pretty lame.
So, $275 with scratches all the way up to $400 when minty?
Now off to find some image samples to see if it's worth playing with.

The first shot is great, Dmitri. Remind me of Blade Runner.
Aah! I really wanted to make it Blade Runner style. Please accept my humble gratitude!
I am also trying to negotiate the concept with few models right now, so hopefully CY thread will have few more interesting posts..
Very Blade Runner, indeed. It has a feel to it that transports the viewer to the scene in an interactive way...like I could smell the steam and air and hear the cars and voices down the alleyway.

Very cool.

Thank you very much. I am not entirely satisfied with the PP, but it's most certainly an interesting theme to continue working on..
Glad you can feel the atmosphere.
