At f8 they seem pretty close but I plan on doing a comparison test once my adapter arrives.
@Ryan,
Thanks! Great night shots, like the River Candy shop shot the best and I really like that old Buick shot. Yes, I knew this lens was going to be great for night shots so that is why I rented it back in May so I could try it out in Vegas where it really excelled.
Coming from the Canon/Zeiss/Leica there are fantastic images in this thread. I really love the rendering of this 24/1.4 lens. It is very similar to the Contax 35/1.4 in its rendering IMO. Great stuff, keep the images coming
Wow, nice photos people!
I was holding out because I was thinking 24mm would be a bit wide for my tastes for weddings, but these look amazing. I hope the Nikon 35mm F1.4 is of the same quality... If not, I may have to go 24mm after all.

few more notes, focus is EXTREMELY slow, when you guys say slow you are giving it a compliment . Focus is extremely accurate for me. Never misfocused once.
Are you finding this in low light as well? I think I may need to send mine in. It misses focus in low light. My 50 and my 85 don't do that.
