After going through this thread, I'm reminded by how much I love shooting wide angle. And I am excited to be able to take it on with some shallow DoF. Can't wait for mine to arrive. 35mm, back you go!
Hope it's alright that I post these images, even though they were shot @1.8.
They were all shot from the hip while walking past the unsuspecting subjects, as with the other two images above, these were also shot in Sardinia last week.
In daylight and with a fast wideangle like the 24, it's not a problem at all I shot plenty of pictures and the keeper rate was not that high. But I still managed to get some in frame and in focus...

Long time lurker posting my first image at FM. The capabilities of the D3s and 24 1.4 continue to amaze me even after 9 months of use and thousands of images. This was taken in Venice last year in the middle of the night, hand held:
