Looks good. I, too, am a fan of the low-light and concert photography. Maybe I should look into getting a 24/1.4. I love my 50/1.4 for this.

Nice shot Almass!

Here is a landscape shot wide open for Uzay. I agree with Ryan, I usually use my Zeiss 21 for most landscapes with larger DOF or my 14-24 if I need wider. The 24/1.4G I use for narrower DOF landscapes but I'm sure it can hold its own against the 14-24G at f8.
Just prefer the Zeiss micro-contrast and color better.
This was shot wide open with 24/1.4G:

Awesome, awesome shot, Wayne! Love it

Thanks! ^^

Well, first, you must not be afraid to get that close. Then, you have to join them in the dancing, so to speak. Move with them, move with the beat, pay attention to the song and anticipate their moves based on their movement with the music. Et voila!

I am so torn between this and the 35 f1.4. I really want a lens for environmental portraits.

Bruce - rent them both and see which one you prefer. I, myself, prefer the 24

I'm picking up this lens this evening from a local dealer, and then heading to the mountains. I will post a few this weekend.

Thanks Francis!

Really love the up close and personal shooting style in the last two shots. You really nailed the focus and captured that expression so well. Like the lines and color too in the 2nd couple shot.
Glad to see you posting some of your work again.

Not quite wide open, but f2.2 with a 6 stop ND filter and 2 honeycombed B400's to either side:

Phillip, are you adding any contrast to your photos or is the lens really that contrasty?

Not too much contrast in post...mostly curves. However, the lens does have a nice level of contrast that naturally occurs.
