i had the same deal going on but i figured my sigma 50 is too close to the 35mm so i opted for the 24G. No regrets .

Thanks to this forum, I bought a 24 1.4G. I upgraded from the Sigma 30/f1.4.

All were shot handheld with a D90 (I travel light on vacation), most f1.4 wide open, some f1.6 or 1.8. All shot with a "fast style", pardon me if it does not look like a good photo as I never really composed more than 3-5s before shooting due to tight time constraints. Very light PP done, ie levelling. Should be useful once Nikon releases the D800 FX.
