It was a 54 second exposure at iso 100 and f 1.4 on my 1ds3.
@Nick, really love the first shot of your last set of shots!
That one for me shows what this is all about for me, an excellent environmental portrait lens.
Love the separation between the subject and the church cross in the back, which still has enough definition to recognize what it is.
I like this lens for both narrow DOF shooting where I want separation between subject and background, and also for low-light handheld type shooting and people portraits where my Zeiss 21 is too big and alarming around people.
But I like the Zeiss 21 better for landscape and larger DOF type shooting where it has the better microcontrast/colors and micro-detail that it renders so well. Both are great lenses.
And for wider landscapes and architecture I have the Nikon 14-24G and TS-E 17.
I think I am set now.
all three were wide open! the box pic was taken with the ZF 35/2... haha
first thoughts where that this lens is BEASTLY! I'll get a better feel for it this weekend with some outings! My copy seems to be sharp right off the gate, so no issues there
