Budget is $2-$4K for 1 bridal album, 2 family albums, getting ready through reception coverage, plus gallery/DVD.

"In terms of photographers: I'm looking for someone who gets great candid shots and is super easy to work with. I'd also like full day coverage - from getting ready through the reception. Someone who doesn't just get "typical" wedding shots; I really want a creative eye who will give us something a little different without being quirky (does that make sense?) An online album and CD/DVD of proofs is a must as well as retouching for any shots we want in a formal album.
In terms of albums...I think we want 3 (one for us and then for each set of parents) that look professional. Other than that I don't think there's anything specific I can think of and even that is not a necessity if its going to drive up the price significantly.

Yeah, I'm a little out of their budget. Maybe not so much when I shot her friend's wedding.
I travel all over the east coast and my family is in Staten Island - right across the bridge. Travel to NYC/NJ is free as I'm usually there visiting my parents every few weeks anyway.
