You have certainly been instrumental in exposing the capabilities of some great Mamiya 645 lenses here. Although I am unable to fully appreciate your reasons for abandoning most of them now, I do understand that for most of us it is impossible to keep EVERY lens that works well for us.
I'm sure that as a result of your Mamiya threads there are many more photographers enjoying M645 lenses on their DSLRs and at the same time waiting to see where your equipment interests will lead you next.
Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for all you have shared in this thread.
Jim,
I appreciate your comments as well.Let me assure everyone that in no way was i not satisfied with ANY of my Mamiya glass. They are IMO the best value out there.OUTSTANDING image quality, very well built and currently very reasonably priced. They were a joy to use and maybe one day i will be able to add a few more to my bag once again. But right now i want to pursue a few other lenses and for me and my budget its not this AND that- it is this OR that

Straight adapter from Mamiya 645 to Sony Alpha ordered today, my120/4 will not be gathering dust after all. With the firmware upgrade I won't have to chip the lens so all is good.
Jim S; do you still have any Mamiya glass? Your inspirational photos in this thread will be dearly missed. I will have to make a huge effort to try and match any of them.
Kosmos,
The torch has been temporarily passed to others for now.Look forward to seeing what you can do when your adapter arrives.I still visit the Alt forum regularly.

AhamB; yes, that was the one. I could have waited a few months on the cheaper options to surface but I decided to get it and not miss out on photo ops with it while having some time off work.

Sirfishalot, interesting shot. Can we see the 'ordinary version' too?
Post some more of 35N! How would you rate its flare control?
Mirkoc,
I haven't had much time with the 35N yet and we haven't had much sun up here so not sure about the flare control. Here are a few more images from it:
Thanks Jim,
I kick myself for not picking up the 35N from you. I recently found a BGN grade copy from KEH.
Now if only I could pick up one of those Mirex T/S adapters

Since the master who started this thread as I gather no longer has any Mamiya lens. By the way is now still a good time to pick up Mamiya MF lens or the price of the lens has hike up too much in recent time?
