Thought it might be nice to start a thread of pictures taken with Mamiya Medium Format lenses on Digital SLR bodies. So far apparently there are very few taken with the 80 f1.9 or at least no one wants to post any, so what about all the others lets see what you have. Please indicate exif settings and what body the lens is on.
thanks.I will start with my only shot with my newest edition the Mamiya 120 f4 macro.this shot was on my 5D @f4 and PP in DPP.

I don't have a lot hosted from my Mamiya to share but here's a couple. All are from my 200/2.8 APO. I've also go a Mamiya 80/2.8 on my 645 1000s but have not bothered trying that one yet.
CVickery,
thanks for sharing. Were all your shots taken with 645? Also nice to finally see someone posting a shot or two with the f1.9.I will have one of these by the end of the week.

All the shots are with the 5DII. I likely have more, but I didn't have my adapters chipped until recently so I can't be sure which lens I was using in many cases.
Jim ... thanks ... I agree about some PP for the train. Tossed it in there for some ooc reference. (note: I've learned to take images with a 'grain of salt' since so much varies between different bodies, and the fact that all images require PP to be their best anyway, which I hope to be good at someday ).
Great stuff! I have been looking at some of the same lenses and can't make up my mind which to try. I am very impressed with what I see and may move my search to the 120 Macro. What adapter is best for Canon and where is the best place to purchase one? I really don't know much about the prosses as I have always used mostly Canon lenses. I would be grateful for your help!

I agree, it has serious issues, but you can deal with them considering the price. If you don't need shift, the Fotodiox makes a lot more sense, and if you have the money, the Mirex T/S is wonderful, but I wouldn't be afrais of the Arax.
The issues:
1: There is a silver adjustment screw inside which causes some glare problems. You can darken it with a Sharpie marker, or just make a little black-felt cover (as I did) Problem solved.
2: The mechanism that lets you rotate it into four different orientatons is not aligned properly. (and is different on both of mine.) If you use the click-stops, the shifting will not happen at 90 degrees to the camera. Unless you own a machine shop, there is NO way to fix this.
The solution: don't use the click stops, just rotate & set by eye. This is WAY less than an ideal solution, since you have no level and this is exactly when you need one. (I don't trust hotshoe bubble levels) and so something to consider.
Cableaddict ... you described the issues with the Arax EXACTLY as I experienced them as well.
I had intended to shoot vertical orientation and do panostitching by shifting and rotating 180 degrees, but the interference will NOT allow for it. For the $$$ spent on it and the wait for delivery from Kiev, this was unexceptable to me.
As a result, I sold my PRISTINE 35mm 3.5 N to Yakim ... I was totally bummed
