I haven't seen any shots here with strong OOF highlights, but many WO shots with great bokeh. The 120/4 has 9 aperture blades, right? Would anyone mind posting a picture of how the aperture looks at something like f/8 or f/11? Is it nicely rounded? I thought I read some copies suffer from an irregularly shaped aperture (also seen on the CV125/2.5).
I'm very much tempted to pull the trigger on one of these babies, but I want to make sure that this lens really has a rounded aperture because this ruined some of my shots made with my current alts. I _hate_ polygonal OOF highlights and although I like using alts, I could do without the chimping (esp. when stopping down). I was thinking about trying a new Tamron 90/2.8 because it has a good rep for sharpness and bokeh, but I have a feeling this Mamiya might beat it in terms of IQ and I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of convenience for that (but not the rounded aperture).

Here's my Mamiya M645 A 120/4 Macro at f/8 and f/16. These photos are taken through the rear element, and so it's an "outtie"
Wonderful rounded blades Thanks for posting, Jim.

Just curious...what caused the angled vertical streaks on the left side of the image? I noticed one between the left edge of the frame and the horse's right ear (viewer left), and two others between the left edge of the frame and the horse's bridle (?).
I figure it's rain drops. Knowing the terminal velocity of the average rain drop, you could calculate Jim's shutter speed. Since I don't know this, I'll ask:
Jim, what shutter speed did you use?
P.S. Google is my friend. For an average 9m/s rain drop velocity, and streak length of 6 cm, I figure the shutter speed was either t = 1/160 sec or 1/125 sec (probably the slower).

Yes it was raining. And Jim you are scarring me with your math.Shutter speed was 1/100sec
