The Mamiya cat will take out the Rokinon creature any day of the week. None of that soft cream and off-white fur for him! Ear hairs need a clip maybe. More 3D to my eye as well, despite the head on stance.

+1
Nice shot with the Mamiya, Jim. I am not sure about the comparison though. The shot with the Mamiya is much closer. They are not "similar" enough to draw a comparison I think.
the mamiya certainly has a bit more pop. i think part of that might be due to white balance settings. if you make the white ish fur in the rokinon pic the same color as the white ish fur in the mamiya shot the rokinon may show a little more pop. even though the mamiya shot is at a shorter distance i like the bokeh of the rokinon better (seems smoother with less bokeh CA).
have any of you put an auto focus confirm chip in your 85's? I bought the rokinon...love it...use it with a manual focus screen but would like to have a chip put on. any recommendations?
Let me add if you don't absolutely HAVE to have F 1.4, 1.8 or 2.0, the 85mm F 2.8 C/Y Sonnar is a wonderful, compact, high performing optic. I really need to bug my brother to let me long term borrow his-his has been fallow for 15 years
