First time traveling overseas .....

Australia to NZ is 'overseas' travel? Heck, I thought that was like a New York to New Jersey trip. (Yes, I am geographically challenged. )

Bunch of excellent stuff you posted. The one others haven't mentioned that I REALLY enjoy is the last one......which I suspect would also make a great B&W.

Damn the second set is phenomenal too. I love the Late Matheson shot. Really wonderful. However your shot of a waterfall seems a little dark at the top, did you use a grad ND on this one? On my screen there is a noticeable difference in brightness between the top and bottom of the image. If you could correct, it too would be spectacular.

Haha well its shorter than going from the east coast of Australia to the west, thats a 4,000km trip! NZ is about half that... I just googled the distance you mentioned for interests sake and, yeah, your a bit off the mark

Yep, i used a GND4 for the sky but looking now i think it may have worked better without the sky/greyness

WOW, What else can be said! The colors just jump off the screen. Would you mind sharing some of your techniques? (ie. how much of your work is sooc, what is your typical post process, and your do's and don't while on location. Thanks

Wow. They're all amazing but Lake Tekapo would be the one I would print HUGE and hang on a prominent wall somewhere in my house!

Wonderful set of images. #2 and #4 are the standouts for me. Great color, contrast, and detail. Thank you for sharing.

I tend to process my RAWs in Canon DPP(i like the colour accuracy and detail) then blend them similar to this http://www.photo-africa.com/2010/01/guest-post-blending-landscape-hdr-images-by-hougaard-malan/ Its also a good idea to bracket your exposures and using GND filters helps a lot
