Whew, quite amazing to come back after a few days to see this many great shots !
Thank you JSPHOTOS, Gregg, Martynas, Lieutenant, for your kind words.
Martynas - Amazing shot of moving water and trees. Love the light on the tree trunks. Beautiful B/W work from Yosemite.
te4o - the 'dead forest' shot is amazing. Great color, pp work.
joakim - Refreshing to see 'crisp' closed down shot from 1.4/35. Nice composition
ltruong8 - Lovely strawberries and roses. Great color.
Greggf- Drift wood shot and the leaves shots are my fav. Very nice sets.
Donat- Congrats on 2/25. Gorgeous shots. #4 of first set, and #1 of second set are my favs.
Lieutenant - Great series of plant life closeups. Really enjoying your pp work on those. Tangerine shot is just great. The ice shots is very nice too.
Rodluvan - I really like your architecture shots ( #3 ) Very nice POV.
Edward - Great color on this recent series. They remind me of Kodachrome 64. I always 'underexposed' to get the deep saturation. #1 really stands out to me.
Wow! A person disappears for a day and half (unexpected plumbing problems in the house now resolved) and I come back to phenomenal images. Great work all!
A special "thanks" to those that posted the 35 1.4 after my request. I'm going back to enjoy them now. My 35 should touch down around midnight then out for delivery tomorrow.

Thank you very much Luka. In fact, they're Fujichrome Provia 100F.
I wish I could post more often, but unfortunately I am not as prolific as the other posters, especially that I am shooting film. Everytime I visit here, I find the thread has a few more pages. Difficult to keep track with all the good stuff
Having most of the ZE lenses. I think the 35/1,4 is the most fun lens to use of all the Zeiss ZE lenses
Funny that this subject came up when it did. I was just thinking the other day about how much I love using the 'simple' 50P and how many keepers I get from it (imo) in relation to all the others (I too have a fair number of ZF's including 1.4/35).
I almost never use it wide open, my preferred apertures are 2.8 or below for street.
The weight, the form, the focus throw of it is the best comapred to all the rest for me. The optics stopped down is just great.
@2.8
And a photo I only kept because of the typical rendition of the lens (@2.0)
The conclusion one can draw from this, is that if Zeiss had done a perfectly corrected 1.4/50 (and I'm thinking mainly of its well know shortcomings wide open) it would undeniably have been a bigger lens and other factors might have changed as well, with the possible result that I would not have been as comfortable using it which certainly is a hugely important quality, not the the least in street photography.
