fracas - great city night shots. Is this Milano ? My favorite are #1, 5, 6 Interesting color on #5. Love the #6 though. That is my most fav.
HMZimelka - Beautiful shot. Very calm and serene.
Carsten's pano experiment with 100mp got me interested. Here is my quick try with 100MP, pretending to be wide angle. They were handheld, and stitched using PS photo merge function. A bit overexosed, and color got washed out, so converted to b/w. Nothing spectacular, but I enjoy the shallow dof effect for seemingly a wide angle shot.

Akul
Thanks Akul. Yes, it is Milano.
I like your pano with 100mm... I think I will try the stitching experiment too.
Akul, brilliant stuff, as ever. Love your "under the bridge" picture most. Your stitched pano is also very interesting. I should try doing Versailles like that...
Great shots, Francesco! 5 & 6 are my faves...
Philber, I took that under bridge shot thinking about you. It is sort of an urban cathedral. And, also there were some under highway shots of yours from about 150 pages ago
Very neat panoramic shot, Akul! I also really like your under the bridge shot.
I don't dislike my 50MP shots, but I am a bit puzzled and a bit underwhelmed so far. I have tweaked my diopter setting, as it seems that this lens may be especially sensitive to a correct setting here, so maybe my focus will be more consistent now. I will test and tweak the next couple of days and try to nail everything next weekend. Maybe I can get it right this time. I will also do some 50MP vs. 100MP comparison shots for rendering style, and see if I can find the commonality mentioned here.
rji2goleez : really love both, #1 photo is the most.
alkanphel, akul : thanks very much
akul : love "under the bridge" and last one has interesting light.
fracas : great shots, my faves are #2 & #6

Thanks... looking forward to it. I just bought the 100MP ZF.2 a couple weeks ago, and the 50 MP is at the top of my wish list right now.. but I'm still on the fence.

I think maybe I am guilty of emphasizing my doubts more than my likes. I do really enjoy the lens. It is very sharp, has great boke close up, and has surprisingly few aberrations, like the minimal purple even in high-contrast areas, although I need to examine its field curvature wide open. I just find myself a bit surprised by the boke at medium distances, and its ability to isolate. I mentioned this earlier, but the harsh light and very distracting backgrounds may have been at fault. I will try to do something less extreme next weekend, provided I find the time for another outing.
Philber - Really lovely flower shots. Bitingly sharp they are. Amazing color and strong rendition of volume. Look at that relief at the bottom of planter !! I also appreciate that in the first shot, foreground is in bokeh, then the second shot it is the opposite. Oh I forgot. I'd love to see you do Versaille Pano. That would be a treat
Fracas - I agree with Philber. There is nothing wrong with the BW version, but that color shot is much more fun. It has the look of contemporary film, like Tom Tykwer ( The International, to be more specific ) I just love that look.
Carsten - Is it possible, that it is not the sharpness that you are missing, but something else ?? Here is the resaon why I ask. That shot of tree is quite sharp to my eyes. Love the reflection and growth at water level. Very lovely color, and it still have quite nice bokeh in the background. What not to like eh?? Anyhow, looking at your tree photo, reminded me of Samli's series of 50mm comparison shots ( probably 150 pages ago. I was not participating this thread yet, just reading. ) What struck me in that comparison was, how different the rendition of lenses were. ( My preference was actually 50 planar, surprise, suprise , but that is irrelevant ) I am not saying you should get 50 planar though
Bob - Great shots. Beautiful flowers. Tree shot (#3) is very pretty.
Wayne - Great shots of snow with 21. Juxtaposition of skull against beautiful snow mountain is unique and very strong.
Hugo - Wow, beautiful shots. Love the first one the most, but they are all beautiful.
