a question for the big guns, those of you who post the beautiful images on this forum. Because I liked the Zeiss I bought for my Nikon, thought I might like a Zeisss AF lens on a Sony. I find I am using Live View almost exclusively on the Sony, not true of my Nikon..are there reason that more practiced, more professional shooters might choose to use Live View in stead of the Finder and visa versal Live View seems compatible with landscape photography but maybenot so much with portraits?? thanks jpanlvh
The AF speed, shutter lag and fps restricted the usage of live view. If your capture is not limit by either then live view can be more useful. Not sure how live view works with flash as my Canon Live View doesn't work with external flash through PC cord.
Great shots guys! Looking through the last page bottom up, I could without a problem recognize the photographer in most cases before I scrolled to the user name - Ryan, Bob and Makten were quite easy. Philippe fooled me - not a statue or example of neoclassic architecture in sight!
Very nice teapot shot, Beud! I think I would crop it a little though. The strip of whatever on the right, a little bit from the boxes at the bottom, perhaps the glass teapots on the left. Would just make it a bit tighter. I would have to experiment a bit to see what works though.
Here is one from October. Made from 6 images, with the ZF.2 100MP on a D3. 35MP in total, cropped to 5:4.
Heh....long time no see, guys, I've been way too busy! Always nice to come back and see the high quality stuff posted in this thread. I just picked up my second Zeiss lens recently, the 35/2. Do we allow ZK pics in here?

Nice! I especially like your last three shots with the 85. Welcome to the forum.
Thank you. Those photos were taken by some lens (21 and 85) that my friend Hugo let me try, a well known here because of his exceptional work with Zeiss! I am waiting my first Zeiss, the 50MP. As soon as I receive it, I post some results.
