Nice shots Bob!
A couple of shots from this morning. I usually prefer to shoot in the evening but as it is rapidly getting darker now sunrise is at an acceptable time (around 08:30 now).

this is so very cool and inspiring. How did u do it?
Actually it is self portrait... I had remote trigger with timer in my pocket. I shot 3 shots (actually it took 20 to get everything more or less aligned). The hardest part was to get my head in same position after changing things in my hands. Than I combined 3 shots in CS5 using layers mask, some cloning and dodging/burning and converted to B&W with Silver Efex Pro...
Lovely shots, Luka! I am getting 21mm tomorrow... Can't wait to get to mountains with it!!!

Denoir - Beautiful morning series. I love the third one with ZE85, color of water and dark contrasted trees, yet lit enough to see detail. Very beautiful.
Todd - +1 to rexx714. Great composition. Capture the unspoken drama with play equipment. Nicely done !
I don't know if everyone feel this way, but I have been amazed by the rendition of dark areas with Zeiss lenses.
Another morning shot from this past weekend. ZF35 / D700
So after meeting up with Paul in NYC he has twisted my arm to post a couple of shots instead of just lurking. Here are some random images taken during my trip to New York last week.
On the topic of Zeiss lenses: Does anyone know if any shop on the Frankfurt airport sells them? I'm travelling to Croatia through Frankfurt tomorrow, and being able to buy tax-free would be preferable. (They didn't have it in stock locally)

Jochenb: that first one is really nice!

I don't think that Frankfurt airport sells any Zeiss but I could be wrong. I have been through that airport probably 20 times in the past year and have only noticed a few camera/electronics stores which sells the mainstream brands and products.

I even bought the Zeiss ZE Distagon T* 21mm f/2.8 last week And I will probably buy the Zeiss ZE Makro-Planar T* 100mm f/2.0 & Zeiss ZE Distagon T* 35mm f/1.4 rather soon also.
Very nice lenses. But I don't see any more 3D in those or in other Zeiss lenses that I have used than I do in my Canon lenses If using the best Canon lenses like I do. Lenses like 17TS-E, 24TS-E, 85/1,2, 200/2, 800/5,6 and similar quality stuff.
So yes I'm probably a " Canonite barbarian who does not understand the subtleties of the civilized alt lens discourse then"
But it gives me many laugh to read those threads
Remember that lenses are just a tool when shooting. It's not a religion ...Show more →
Lars I respect you because I like your photos, so I'm writing this as a way to convince you to buy more ZE gear.
Without getting into specifics, I've shot with ever Canon lens under 200mm professionally. As a photographer who pays bills with his photos, never once have I seen the 3D from a canon lens as I see from the 35/2 and 100 MPZE (though the 100 MP usually is more pop and less 3D, same goes for the 50 MP ZE). Does this mean you can't get 3D, no, maybe I'm just a bad photographer.. But if I'm a bad photographer, then what other company can claim there lenses actually make me a better photographer? Only Zeiss can. Trust me I'm finding out the hard way, I just picked up an M9, and I'm not impressed, not at all!
With that said, I'll post on this board soon.. I've just been swamped since I got back from vacation/work trip, and I haven't processed my photos yet. Though I've been lurking and I have to say I've seen some amazing stuff..
