To counteract the blasphemy of having so few duck shots in this thread, here are two.
Did you guys know that Henri Cartier-Bresson always made sure that the first thing he shot with a new lens was a duck? He knew that it was bad luck not to do so and I'm a shocked an appalled by so few people are not taking care to honor our feathered friends by a shot or two
Luka, the two last photos from the forest are great.
Bob, great idea and execution of the photo with the moon and the two street lamps.
Hugo, amazing photos of an amazing landscape.
Lovely composition in your third photo Gary but you might want straighten the horizon a little
Hi everybody,
I am following this thread since months, and am always amazed about the general level of quality that many posters here have (Hugo, this first lake shot is spectacular, Luka the first duck shot must be one of the rare example of this species that is not boring)
I still have to check whether Picasa albums is working for embedding photos in the post, otherwise I will have to find another place to upload.
Edit: Seems to work, at least I see the pics in Firefox on my PC
Since I use my ZF lenses via adapter on my 5d2, I cannot see the aperture... Lens, ISO and shutter speed is written on the pics. I still have to find which size and sharpening is best, but anyway, here are my first takes, all taken in the (new) governmental quarters of Berlin (where I am located):
Welcome, Bernie. I really like your first shot, but you should try to increase your posting size. This is a bit small IMHO.
Jochen, your Louvre shot shows very clever composition!
Luka - on the last page the first post of 4 night shots - EXCELLENT! I love each one of them. Also, from your second set the last two and especially the next to last one with the tree trunk - what 3D!!! The 2nd duck is also a very nice shot.
Hugo - very impressive your first shot on the last page that you took with the ND. Does not seem to be much lost from using that filter. I have always been too scared to use filters on Zeiss glass for risk of losing 'the look'
Gray - really like your train track pic on the prior page
Jochenb - the last shot is one of my favorite I have seen. Period.
Luka - I really like your last two on this page. I am now thinking of getting rid of my 50 for the 100
Bob - I really like that flower
Everybody give permission for me to hang your work on my walls You guys are awesome. What a treat it is to come to work and read a couple pages of Zeiss pics
