Incidentally, the 50 MP competes with the 35/2 to be my least used Zeiss glass. Both excellent lenses, but I simply like the 21, 100 & 35/1.4 more so I tend to choose to use one them instead.
As for the 35/2.. well there's no lens that I know of that so effortlessly produces the Zeiss 3D look (the 50 MP is the most difficult):
Luka...first one is excellent! You are right about that 35....it gets the 3D without trying. I surprisingly found the 50 Planar (NOT Makro) to be the same way. Here is what I was thinking was going to be a boring shot with the 35......
Thanks Charles. Yes, I am really hoping it is similar to the older releases and not of planar variety where it is very soft wide open at close distance
From the Woodland Cemetary (Skogskykogården) in Stockholm:
Not exactly following my own advice to keep the 21 under f/16, but the star bursts are more dramatic at smaller apertures. The price is a loss of detail due to diffraction.
Luka, even out of your element you sure don't disappoint. I sure like 1 & 3 from the top set and 1, 3 and 4 from the second set. Your very last one being my favorite Excellent work!!!
Just as I get dead set on a Nikon 24 there you guys go with the 21s again.....decisions decisions
Oh, and don't worry, I already have funds set aside waiting for the 35 1.4
