I essentially agree with Peire, except that the barrel distortion is easy to get rid of. As to the punch of ZE 21, I am not yet sure if it is the 28 that lacks a little something, or if it is the 21 that beautifies every shot just a little...
I think it is 21ZE that "beautifies" every shot a little. It is really a class for itself and as good as it gets. Not only a masterpiece of optic engineering but also one of a few best tools to paint with light, with it's own, unique character.
Really love the portraits and bike shots, after seeing those head shots with the 100MP from Diploneis, its definitely on my list. Given the focal length, would I find the 100 a lot easier to focus wide open than the 35/2?
Oh my! Not sure where to start. Gorgeous shots all ! I've been away for a while and looks like a lot is happening. Anyways, here's a shot from a few nights ago. Went to shoot San Francisco at night and got totally skunked!
Bernd, excellent portraits! Great to see a variety with the Z* lenses. There is definite difference in the skin tone rendering between the Canon and Nikon.

Great shots Ajay, considering you were skunked!
Thanks Charles!!
Slightly OT: How are you finding the Z on 5DII vs Z on M9 in absolute IQ terms?

The IQ from both are excellent. M9 with Z*, it is a steep learning curve. The limiting factor is me at the moment. I have just sold the 7D and all my L series lens, except for 2, the 135L and 85LII. The 5DII and M9 have their strengths and purpose, and more importantly suits me, to simplify, and stick to FF with select lenses for each.
Rented a 50mm f/2 Makro Planar for my 7d. It's supposed to show up tomorrow. Can't wait to get out over the weekend and shoot with it. I'm guessing from the shots here and after I've had time to play with it I'll probably end up looking for one to purchase.
Oh, and great pictures from everyone! Great inspiration!
Awesome shots guys!!
Here are few that I took recently with 21 and 100. I need to get used to these lenses more. I guess it would take some time to get used to them.
