Great pictures guys!
Very nice portrait Brend and I really like your shot Ajay - especially the second one.
Superb shots Ryan! Great colors and choice of subjects. You really know how to put the ZM 25 to good use! charles.K wrote:
Bernd, excellent portraits! Great to see a variety with the Z* lenses. There is definite difference in the skin tone rendering between the Canon and Nikon.
Thank you, gentlemen. Charles, not so sure about the differences. I never rely on auto wb and always correct to my imagination or to a grey card in pp.

A few more with the ZM 25
Ryan! This ZM stuff is gorgeous! Very nice Leica colours to my perception. I had an M8 for some weeks myself and a friend of mine shots one and I find the M8 metering great. I wish my D3 would make such fantastic exposures.

Rented a 50mm f/2 Makro Planar for my 7d. It's supposed to show up tomorrow. Can't wait to get out over the weekend and shoot with it. I'm guessing from the shots here and after I've had time to play with it I'll probably end up looking for one to purchase.
Oh, and great pictures from everyone! Great inspiration!
metagraphica, for sure you will be amazed from the ZF50MP.

Awesome shots guys!!
Here are few that I took recently with 21 and 100. I need to get used to these lenses more. I guess it would take some time to get used to them.
sangdabom73, nice stuff, you remind me, how great the ZF100 is for landscapes.

Great portrait, Bernd, and very effective b&w conversion....
philber (Phil?), Ryan, Charles! Thank you very much!

These Makro-Planars have a bad influence on me. They are so damn great and versatile, that I tend to use them almost always. I must feature my ZF85 again in my next session.

Bernd, you prefer your MPs to your 85 for portraits from a results point of view?
No, absolutely not. Most of my stuff is very face to face, very personal and I personally prefer the ZF85.
But for a long time my versatile bag-to-go was ZF28/50/100 and because many of my pictures do not come from planned sessions I happened to make more portraits with the ZF100. Just as wrote, it is just so amazing, and pictures are great anyway.
The ZF85 has such a gentle rendering and dignifies people with so much respect. To me it is as if ZF100 proudly says „This is reality, look how gorgeous I can capture it!“ and ZF85 answers with a wise smile "Hey, maybe it is and you do an outstanding job, much better than I ever could, my friend. But you have love your folks and give some honour to them. Come on, I'll show you how...“
Maybe next time I am asking a lady to stand model for a comparison of ZF85/ZF100.
Regarding the 50mm: My first ZF was the ZF1.4/50, which I shot for almost two years before I changed it for the ZF50MP some months ago. I am not sure, if that was the right move for what I do.
I do not need a macro lens. I thought I would enhance 50mm with the MP and in terms of perfectionism and test charts results I surely did. Time will tell if it is too perfect for me. Lately I thought about buying back a ZF1.4/50 and see. But I am only thinking loud.
Bernd, that second (mother and child) portrait is fantastic!
Toothwalker: I really like #2 & #3.
Shuko: Excellent use of the 100 MP. I especially liked the butterflies on the previous page - beautiful background blur.
Philippe: Awesome shot! Shooting from that kind of angle is usually difficult but you really pulled it off. Perfect composition and very nice rendering!
The 85 Planar is the next Zeiss on my list. I am however saving it as a treat for later.

Later? Hmmmmm. Knowing you, Luka, it means...tomorrow?
No, I'll try to wait a bit longer than that. I have with Zeiss glass behaved like a kid left alone in a candy store. The problem is that I'm running out of candy - i.e Zeiss glass that I want to have. So I'll wait getting the 85 for a while until I feel that I need something to refresh my interest in photography.
I know what I'll do, just for Luka. Guys, all of you who own a 85Z*, please post lots of wonderful pics! That should help our friend be patient. Or will it?
