Some random ice shapes...
...but they looked (with a healthy dose of imagination) like a set of animals. The colour is added to highlight the "lion head". A seal popping up it's head and a lizard standing behind the head.
Readers might enjoy seeing something from the distant ancestor of the Milvus 21/2.8 - in fact, the Contax (CY) 21/2.8 appeared in 1993. It gives you a sense of what film lenses were capable of when used on early digital cameras, in this case a Sony A900 DSLR with 24mp. So, this is 'vintage' image quality...a 99% likelihood of plenty of lead oxide in it; these late 20C Zeiss lenses were quite weighty for what they were. No asphericals in this design, now as then. It was complex, at 15/13, but light at 530 grams.
'There are likely fewer than five widely available, consumer/professional-grade, modern, full-frame wide-angle prime lenses with more than 13 groups of elements. High-group counts (13+) are more common in, but not restricted to, wide-angle zoom lenses rather than prime lenses.'
Did a series with the ZF.2 50/1.4 Planar on D750 yesterday:
I love how it renders the out of focus areas, somewhat wild, but pleasing. The sharp area is so thin!
And then I tried similar motivs with the lowly Distagon 25/2.8 ZF which I love just because of it's ability to focus really close,
I can move as close as a few cm up to the object. I found that it renders similarly to the 50/1.4 at that distance, despite of it's 2.8 aperture.
my absolute favourite - it looks like watercolour!
this lens might be a fun lens for you micke.vmix - you need to get real close though, due to the 25mm focal lenght.

D850 + 85/1.4 Otus at F1.8 12mm extension tube
The 12mm tube works like a charm for these small flowers with this lens. Reasonable magnification and focus distance while getting some dreamy background. 20mm will only work for close ups.
Interesting with the 25/2.8 above but I might try something crazy with my 12mm Samyang and 2 adapters on the Z8 first...

love your liverwort! I saw that you often use lenses with longer minimal focus lenght with an extention tube. Seems to work well. I have to try this as well.
