Nalahm, Nice clear Bangkok skyline shot! Need to get back there sometime soon to visit.
I am waiting on my next Conurus converted Contax N lens, the N 70-200.
Can't wait to try it out. Thanks to mMontag(Mark) for the sample pic and recommendation.
Used my Contax N 85/1.4 to shoot a friends wedding and it worked so well.

If you mean Canon 100mm f2.8 L IS, then its sharper than N100/2.8, but its not Zeiss. It has Canon rendering (tho quite neutral).
I'm not agree. I have both N100 and 100L is. N100 is the clear winner if we switch off is 100L when we shoot hand held. 100L is does better when we on the is switch . N100 is the best on tripod no competitor.

Nope, Makro-planar is a better design, although they are belong to the same owner.
Just to stir the pot even more ignoring cost which would makro would you prefer? contax 100 f/2.8, the contax-n 100 f/2.8 or the newest z* 100 f/2 This may have been covered before but I cant seem to find it right now.
If you love to shoot macro to lifesize 1:1 and need AF for canon, N100/2.8 makro-sonnar is the best
ZEISS 100/2 ZE does just half lifesize (1:2) . You need extension tube to go to 1:1 but this lens is the jewel for portrait.
I used to compair N100 with manual lenses c/y 100/2.8 makro-planar and c/y 100/4 S-planar macro-bellows lens alongwith canon 100 and 100L is for macro shot.
S-planar 100 is the winner
N100 is the second
C/Y 100 makro-planar is the third
canon 100 L is OK number 4
canon 100 ...the last .5
It isn't that difficult to find the opinions of you in Jan, 20, 2011:

I used to live with contax 100/2.8 mp & contax 60/2.8 S-mp for product shooting and now with contax N 100/2.8 M-sonnar / S-planar 74/4 & S-planar 60/4 for macro1:1
Contax 100 mp is perform good and 60/2.8 S-mp is better interm of sharpness , pleasant bokeh but still Rthe same in colore & contrast.
If I need to shoot landcape or portrait I will go to new 100/2 mp more plesant bokeh & better contrast /colore rendering when shoot silhouette.
Just my 2 cents.
Or time changes your mind.
