N400 is the apo lens and only apo one I own.
Contax645 N 350 is an apo lens too. I will collect this one first if I made my mind to go to sigma SD1 ( We can use all of contax N 645 lenses with sigma SD camera via nam1 adapter that has been convert from N to SA mount by CONURUS)...see
Contax645 N120 is an apo lens and AF I will get it if I got SD1.
All contax 645 N lenses are auto focus lens. They are the best value zeiss glass because we can use wisely.
1 with contaxN 645 camera film or digital back
2 with contax N camera via naim1 adapter
3 with canon Dslr camara via naim1 adapter converted to EF mount
4 with sigma SD camara via naim1 adapetr converted to SA mount
5 with sony NEX cameara via naim1 converted to EF+new conurus EF/NEX adapter....see 555
I used to test S-planar 120/5.6 medium format lens head (not apo) but I prefer S-planar 100/4 for bellows lens.
Leica Apo Elmarit 100/2.8 had been tested. It's not too sharp to my eyes and realy good in colore

The NAM1 plus conversion ain't exactly cheap. Also unless there is intent to buy the entire line of Zeiss MF glass, the cost of converted adaptor can only be split by the 2 or 3 lenses that will be used.
On a separate topic, anyone has done a comparison between Contax N 85 and Sigma 85? Based on the MTF charts, the Sigma seems to have higher resolution. Does it have as much pop?

Again big NOPE, Contax 645 Carl Zeiss T* Apo-Makro -Planar lens turns out is a manual focus- and automatic aperture. Zeiss did it manual on the purpose of meticulous macro fotography ( it needs 2 rounds for full range and have it you don't need the heavy Bellows anymore), and it won German award for best MF lens in1999 (I didn't find it's birthday ).
Especially the second & third - a good distance for that lens - nicely composed.
I don't know if it's the lens focusing action or the excellent Conurus conversion but I notice that lens locks onto focus very well - much, much better than I can do with an 85mm at f1.4 manually. Approximately 1500 produced - and a small percentage of those converted.
@contas Thanks for suggestion I will think again if I purchase apo120/4 I mean to need for AF. I converted 6 N lenses -N24-85 N50 N70-300 N85 N100 N400 because I need zeiss with AF. I don't need to buy Af lens for manual focus.
More than a half of my macro job has been done on copy stand and bellow is the best suit. The internal AF focusing gear broke easily when shoot vertiacal that I broke one canon100 in 6 months from new purchase I shot 300-700 shots dialy 80000-150000 shots /year and 1/3 of them need more manifiy than lifesize so bellow is my choice.
Thanks all. N85 is easily my favourite N lens, followed closely by the N17-35. Bo-Ming did an excellent job of keeping the AF fast and spot on after conversion which make these lenses a joy to use.
In this case, these lenses made me a better photographer.
The Nex-5N is on the way...
I can't wait to try the ZM18 and the Rokkor 58 and C/Y 100/2.0 on that small camera.
It might be a perfect camera for my hikes...
Sorry, these shots are not posting with the same sharpness and size as what they are in PS. Looks like image upload is upsizing my images and not sharpening them so they come out blurrier and larger. Anybody using image upload know why? It didn't used to do this.

You didn't upload them with 1024px width? You might want to ask Fred about it. It looks like the EXIF is being displayed in a different way too, so I'm pretty sure that he has changed something about the image upload. I'm seeing quite a lot of small changes in the forum btw.
