You probably won't see it tomorrow, Saturday delivery is extra. You'll probably get it on Monday. IMHO, you are justified in being irritated and I would demand a refund for the Next Day Air shipping.

I would have hoped that when they knew they had screwed up for me getting it today, they would have taken the extra cost to get it to me on Saturday?

No, that's not going to happen, sadly.

From the tracking info you showed us, all indications show it will arrive Monday. If it had been given Saturday delivery status it would show up on this page as such. It is very likely you won't see any further updates to the tracking status until the very early morning of the delivery.

When a package is given a tracking number, that doesn't mean it is already in transit. All it means is that UPS has received the package and it's probably in some warehouse. It *could* be in transit and the info has not yet been updated--typically there is a delay in status updates. But a tracking number assignment doesn't say anything about whether it's moving.

Basically, you paid for next day and didn't get next day. You got 4-day shipping. Not acceptable and in my view a 100% refund of the shipping cost is justified.

I've been to both places...Adorama and B&H.
It is very hectic there...
I don't think they are equipped to do such personal follow-up.

Nonetheless, you should ask the refund for the shipping.

Well you will need some luck to have it delivered tomorrow.

I have ordered from Adorama over night with no problems, I did call them to place the order because I wanted it over night and wanted to verify it was in stock before doing so.

Reason I ordered B&H is because I can get shipment out of New York (Im In PA 2 hour Drive). If I have it sent to my place of business alot of times it can come over night even though ground was method of delivery. We do alot of shiping with them and I tend to think business get more priorty of non business address.

Will be interesting if whom ever was involved thought to think this was a screw up and have it marked for saturday delivery.

That doesn't look like a Saturday delivery ticket, looks like Monday. Get ahold of Helen Oster, you will at least get your shipping $ returned if not more. She is real good.

Yea - Helen will get your shipping refunded and she is the reason I shop now at Adorama almost exclusively.

However, I would echo that you should not wait till the last minute, and having said that, I have done so three times, and the two times I ordered by phone from Adorama they did not get it shipped when needed. I suspect Phone Orders go through a separate screening and approval which can take longer and the salesperson has no control over that approval. So the guarantee is worthless.

If you need it next day, Adorama is not reliable, but I use them for most everything else.

So, I guess if I order 20x30" prints from some of you guys, and you deliver 8x10" shit to me, it's my fault? That's what I'm hearing a lot of here.

When you pay what Adorama charges for overnight shipping, you damn well better get what you pay for, or they should refund shipping charges. Period. Why rag on the guy for buying when he did, not buying at another dealer, etc. Lame.

Incidentally, I ordered a couple of cards from Adorama last week. I paid $40 for overnight shipping. It got here 3 days after the order was placed. I got my $40 back, no problem. If you can't deliver something, don't advertise it. Period.

Then you're hearing wrong. It's not like the buyer is receiving the wrong product, as you implied above. (At least, not that we know of yet.)

Nobody is saying the OP doesn't deserve to be refunded the shipping cost. If they were promised delivery by a certain date, and it didn't happen, then of course a full refund is in order.

What people are saying--but you're not hearing--is that if one is to avoid risking disappointment, then make sure you PLAN AHEAD and BE PREPARED because S*** HAPPENS. I believe that is something even the OP can agree with.

Interestingly, I think if slip-ups like this are sufficiently common, it almost becomes an arbitrage opportunity. Next day shipping is not cheap...if a company can't deliver on their promises and ends up having to do multiple full refunds, you bet they're going to clean up their act real quick, or you'll have a lot of customers getting free 2-day air.

No I think you are hearing wrong. The OP is not upset with Adorama because he ordered at the last minute. He is upset because he was promised next day delivery and it never came.

I have had my 5D II for a while and every-time I use it, I still learn something new about it! Unless you have used 5D II before and are really comfortable with it, I would be more inclined to say to use what you owned already and had used before long enough to know every thing about it.

Also, in defense of Adorama, I have to say that I have never had any issues with them and that includes delivery. If any surprises with delivery, it has always been that they delivered even sooner than I expected!

This is a very busy time of the year for businesses and carriers and it is only prudent to allow more time when we need things around such time.
