It may not be my best shot of 2009. Its not 100% technically perfect. But its my favorite simply because it is so mind bending. The tree on the cliff is a solid 40-60 ft fir tree. The little shrubs are 6 ft or taller wax currants. Welcome to the land of giant boulders.
Here's my contribution. Not especially good, shot under lousy conditions plus its been done a million times but it was my first trip to Bryce and for that reason its special.
The talent in this forum is amazing. Here is my humble post, not exactly landscape but special to me. My daughter always goes to the dawn patrol at the balloon races with me. I think of her when I look at this pic. I will try to post more in 2010, I am usually with Bart and Dave on trips so it gets kind of redundant. Plus, theirs are usually better. :-)

Wow, there are some stunningly beautiful photos on this thread, and with such variety in approach and content. Not sure what my "best" landscape image is for the year, but I quite like this one taken near sunset and moonrise at Blue Lake in the eastern Sierras.
