This is always my favorite thread of the year, its awe inspiring looking at everyone images.
though I do not have any images that absolutely stand out for me, this image I like the most, b/c of texture in the rocks, and the quality of light. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2591/4158777007_bf7db9c462_b.jpg

It's always hard to pick a favorite, but my overnight trip to Hunts Mesa was definitely one of the best destinations for 2009.
I loved this shot the first time and haven't changed my mind. I can't wait til we go to MV next September (and Grand Canyon, Antelope, Bryce etc)

Some stunning work here (and it takes wayy too long to load on my pre-historic dial-up, so it might be a while till I see every photo posted in this thread ).
Terrible year for me on many levels, so not as many photos to choose from. So I picked one from a place that never disappoints (in other words, everytime I go there I manage to capture something nice)
Although it is not a landscape, it is most definitely my favorite image of 2009. It was taken in February at the Ngorongoro Crater National Park, Tanzania.
We came upon this scene just as a several hour struggle to take down a cape buffalo had ended. One of the pride members seems to be taking pause to reflect on the success.

Hope you enjoy.

Some really inspiring/awesome shots !! FM still has great people that see beautiful parts of the world and capture it wonderfully. This was my 1st "off" year in probably 6 years. I started a web site (www.pluginguru) which averages 200 gigabytes of video tutorial downloads a month, I have 2 songs I worked on the latest Boyz II Men album, 1 song on the latest Mariah Carey album, 3 new musical instruments I created factory voicing for including the new/amazing Wavedrum WD-X. So will all this going on, I didn't get out very many times. Something I hope to change to a better "happy medium" for next year.
