Travel photography has always fascinated me. Not only because it takes my imagination to exotic and different places, but also because it demands a very varied skillset of the photographer. It's nature. landscape, portraits and documentary in one!
I wish that I had some great shots to show but ask me in about six weeks...
I'm definitely in agreement with the OP here. I love to travel and I love travel photography and it's challenges.
Here's one of my all time favorite travel photos. It was taken in Nassau during a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas from Miami. We had just finished eating lunch at a local place called "The Native Way" after a morning of sailing and snorkeling off a reef just off of Rose Island. On our way back to the cruise ship we stopped at a local beach for a quick dip and ran into these local kids having a good time.
Here is my #1 travel photos. I shot this on film with my very first camera, a Canon EOS 30/Elan 7E.

A little story as well. I ended up marrying the woman in the photograph about 3.5 years later. I have been traveling ever since.
