I'm too poor to have traveled anywhere cool (never been out of the country for that matter), so all I have to offer is a few from a trip to Chicago last year:
We (4 of us) were standing chatting in the street in a little town in Italy (on the Amalfi coast) when this little old lady suddenly popped her head out the window and started talking to us. I have no idea what she was saying, but she gave us a heckuva fright just popping up out of nowhere like she did. While she was chatting away I snapped this shot literally from the hip. Whenever I see it, it makes me smile.

I agree, maybe if there were a few more people in the pics it would help.
I travel for work and for pleasure, so here are a few pictures that exemplify both types of travel.
