@ElectricMF: Very strong presence in your photos, especially in the first one.
@LeadyGonzales: Yes, that's some really weird bokeh you got there. But most examples I've seen from the 35 C/Y has rather nice bokeh in my opinion and very strong 3D.
There are folks who own the new ZE, but most post in the ZE/ZF thread. I posted here when I initially got mine, but now post in the other thread.
The new ZE does not seem to have that much pop, wide open, as these images. However, it captures more detail and I personally prefer the bokeh of the new one to the C/Y's bokeh.

Wow, is that with the old 35 1.4? Or the ZE? I can never tell if this forum is for all or just the old distagons (cy etc)
I have been scouring the net (and this great thread) after first seeing the new ZE but then I came across the old C/Y Distagon. From what I have seen, I much prefer the "pop" of the old lens.
I am looking to use the C/Y on my 5DMKII. I was first looking at the 35mm 1.4 but the images from the C/Y just having "something" about them. Really breathtaking. There are a couple on The Bay but I dont mind spending $1300-1400 for a decent one (is anyone selling one? )
Can anyone who has the old lens offer some advice about it? What range of serial numbers are best to get? MM or AEG? Japan or German? Is there one adaptor that deals with the focus to infinity issue?
Any help would be fantastic...
