turns out google chrome makes my images look like garbage as opposed to safari...even though i have it set to srgb export!
This is off-topic, but:
If you're properly exporting your images to sRGB (with embedded icc profile) Chrome, IE, and all other non-color managed applications should display your images fine. Firefox supports color management too btw. Google can't be bothered to even add a print preview function to Chrome, so you can count on color management not being implemented anytime soon.
I'm using Win 7, calibrated display with color management on (Win 7), and Chrome doesn't display things right. Firefox does, as well as Safari. Photoshop CS5 as well. I'm no expert, but it's like Chrome overrides the Win 7 color settings. Photos in Chrome doesn't look right.
right click the properties of chrome in your start menu, there should be command line interface where you type that in... i dont believe its possible on the mac
Guys, I'm noticed some purple and green CA when shooting wide open especially. More than I would have expected. Is part of this the result of using this lens via an adapter? Therefor increasing it's flaws?
I don't really notice much CA unless I miss focus wide open. Trying to focus wide open is sometimes a challenge with the paper-thin DOF of a 5D and the Zeisstastic. At any rate, It's no worse than any other fast 35 I have tried, and better than most. I have a AEG C/Y Copy.
From the drive home today. An old house I saw that has a squirrel-hatch! I bet it would be fun to run in and out of there... Wide open.
One more from my stop. Bottlebrush tree with a side of ninja stars! I quite like the abruptness of the focus transition this lens can produce. The ninja stars are an acquired taste...
