Would you care to share you lighting setup? I dig it. It seems that you had one to the left and one to the right of the subject? Any mods? The one camera left was probably more powerful, and quite high up.

That's a beautiful photo ... the lighting is really classy.
Fabulous! Are these natural light only? It looks to me like the differing wing positions & curvature are evidence of the shutter slit progressing down the frame - exif shows 1/2500.
Perhaps you would like to give us a link to your flickr page, maybe attached to your profile?

Pierre,
So much for the 7D not being able to take landscapes!
any camera can take landscapes even a P&S can take landscapes
or a pinhole camera
not saying the 7D can't take them well, but nothing here tells you anything about whether it can take them better at large print/monitor view than a 10D or a D3x.
again not at all saying it can't take stuff well, but threads like this, for any model, with tiny little images largely don't tell you anything about a camera itself
they tell you about whre someone was, what sor tof lighting there was, how they chose to compose things, luck, skill, etc.
(not that I mind posts like this at all though, since it's nice to look at some of the greta photos that can get posted)

You are certainly correct in saying that any camera can take landscapes and a whole lot of other types of photographs. My point in starting this thread wasn't to really emphasize any particular points about the 7D, but to encourage 7D-users to show the pictures they've been taking as opposed to the resolution charts and 300% crops to show noise at high-ISOs that seem to be everywhere...all valuable information to be sure, but sometimes pictures can be a little more fun. For that matter, a "Post your 50D shots" thread would be just as much fun to look at! I'm with you in enjoying looking at what everyone has posted.
