This method requires only an M42-EOS adapter and some simple tools (as long as you are good with your hands).

Does this work for the 58mm 1.4 as well?

Piece of cake. I did it for Nikon F-mount. You have to sand the spacer alot more than you would for the EOS. Even then it's wafer thin and still no infinity focus. Won't clear the mirror of a D700 beyond 20ft or so, so my Nikkor Rokkor stays the way it is.
Great Rokkor shots, everyone! The 1.2 is an amazing piece of glass (that I wish I owned). I do have, however, the 58mm f1.4. Just as amazing as the 1.2 IMHO.

It would be interesting to do a side by side portrait comparison shot like that one above with both the Rokkor 58 and your Zeiss 35/1.4. It seems to me that the Zeiss transitions quicker from in focus to OOF than the Rokkor 58.
Oh yes, the Rokkor with extension tubes is faboulus too!
While my conversion to EF mount I hesitated - probably it is bettet not to reach infinity but to have direct access to nearer objects. But I made it ti infinity, and use the extension tubes often.
Here some more distand images - full open the lens has a lovely softening I like.
