Happy shooting,
Yakim.
That's why my husband bought the 135/2 - nothing else is fast enough to capture that elusive moment of fleeting sanity... Growing up with a photog father, I learnt dodging a camera before I learnt to walk.
A terrible thing happened today. I went to a Canon Israel convention. They launched the 7D, the 100/2.8 IS, the 24/3.5 TS II and the 17/4 TS. I tried them out and got absolutely hooked, especially on the 17/4 TS. I think about selling all my Mamiya kit to finance it.

That's not a terrible thing. It s a great thing, and a great opportunity . I tried them out and got absolutely hooked, especially on the 17/4 TS.
Nah, just admit it. You were hooked already, well before this convention <GDR>. I think about selling all my Mamiya kit to finance it.
Do you still shoot film?
For me no more ... Happy shooting,
Yakim.
Kind regards, Wim

To know something and to feel it are two completely different things. Think about it. For years you have fantasized on Angelina Jolie/Liv Tyler/Whomever and suddenly they step into your bedroom while your wife is away.....
BTW, I don't shoot film anymore. I use a Mirex TS adapter with them. This adapter allows you to make any Mamiya M645 lens into a tilt-shift one on your Canon DSLR.

Come on Yakim just do it. I just purchased the TSE 90mm and TSE 45mm this week.
I have a very similar setup. My Mamiya 35/3.5 and 120/4 macro became TS ones with that Mirex TS adapter. And of course, plenty of other lenses exist. The fun part of it is that it's much cheaper that way, as long as you don't want anything wider than 35mm.

My dad sold all his Pentax gear to get a brand new Mamiya 7II. His dream camera. He doesn't regret it one bit! I'm pretty sentimental and like to keep beautiful gear, but I, too, think that if you have reason to believe you'll have more fun using the 17/4, that's the way you should go.
Just found something in TDP: "Obviously, APS-C (1.6x FOVCF) bodies frame tighter than their full-frame counterparts. This facts perhaps makes the wide focal length of this lens even more useful for these primary purposes."
