More fantastic examples Conrad, you appear to have your new best friend really dialed in. No question from my tests that the 7D has some resolving power and one fine AF module. With this as a forerunner the 1D4 has got to be nice but at what price? The 7D seems to do pretty much everything needed for a whole lot of people. Continued best of luck.

No kidding. I had no desire what so ever for this camera because I have a 1D3, but after seeing your many pages of samples I now would like to have one. Thanks alot a$$!
BTW your samples are freaking amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Hehe... thanks for the kind words Kelly. And I'll try not to be such an a$$ next time and post some pi$$ poor images just for you.

Which AF mode did you use ?. Have you tried different kind of modes ?.
I use Manual Mode center AF points that form a + symbol. I'm sorry I still have not read the manual but I hope you know which one I'm talking about. I have not tried the other settings yet.

Nice shots, Conrad This is why I'm banking on a +16mp APS-H 1DIV with increased high ISO performance. The 7D looks like a fantastic piece of kit, no doubt, but you've gotta believe the 1DIV is going to be that much better in both of the said departments...at least one should hope
If we assume that the 1DMkIV will build on the features & technologies of the 7D then we have a lot to look forward to.

Must resist... Must resist... the 40d is good enough. I just need to wait for February. February is just 4 months away.
A blessing in disguise! By then, whatever issues with the 7D will hopefully be resolved.

I always wondered how everyone gets to tight BIF shots... now I know!
Really? Well most folks who produce really really detailed shots are actually very close to the subject and fill the frame. These are just examples of what one can get when cropping an 18MP camera.
