A bit too much tilt/shift for my tastes (not poorly done, just overused in this set), but that's a matter of taste. It works for some of these, but there are a few I think would have been stronger without tilt/shift. Otherwise I like a lot of these. Some are truly great shots. This is WAY more "you" than the last thread of yours that I commented on.
Diggin' these way more than your last two sets. Way better compositions/expressions/processing. Probably my favorite set from you so far. The gorgeous chick probably helps a little to.
That said, you're still gonna get the usual "they're all the same... why is she just standing there?" crap that you normally do. But you're a big boy, and probably used to it. For me these are on the right side of the fine line between keeping a consistent style and too much of the same.
I just can't get into the TS look. My eye goes to the out of focus area. The last one is the least favorite. Looks like a miniature clay model to me. 4 and 5 are the best in my opinion. Love the post processing.
i LOVE these pictures individually.
The problem is, if i look at them as a set of pictures, the girl seems to have the same pose in every single picture. Only the background changes, the girl seems to stay the same. I don't know if anyone else notices this, or maybe I'm just too tired ;p
TBH, the whole oof thing is too much for my tastes...
I enjoy selective focus......large aperture shots and all that.....but this just goes too far. Its disconcerting to see points that
"should be" still in focus blurry. It looks like ps gone wild....even if it was done with a t/s lens or even a lens baby....i'm just not the one for it. Everyones tastes are different, and she does have great eyes. The shots themselves are very nice, it just bothers me when the eyes are in, and the mouth (which is on the same plane) is not.....
