Those are very very nice Rich! Really like the 1st one. I have not shot my 400mm in a few weeks now. I'll see what I can find this weekend!

Conrad, where did you see that eagle? I live in Orinda and I'd love to take a drive to try and capture him. I've been enjoying your thread even though I just found it and have only made it one third of the way through (I couldn't resist going to the last few pages), but I definitely see improvement in your work.

Jeanette

I shot that last one with JPG a few weeks ago before I discovered RAW. Haha! Sorry about the blown out whites. Anyway, the 300X Lexar was $120 with a $20 rebate (which I'm still waiting for) so it was $100. Not too bad. They have a sale every Friday locally.

Also check with B&H and Adorama. Don't know if the rebate is still going but I got 2 Lexar 8gb 300 UDMA for $50 each ($110 w/out rebate) after a $60 rebate. So I got both cards for $100.

I'm sorry I've not been around a computer the last few weeks. Lets see, the eagle is at Calveras Reservoir in the hills of Milpitas. You take 680 S to San Jose, exit Calaveras/237 and head left (to the hills) eventually you'll see Calaveras Road on your left after about 4 miles. Drive until you see power lines on your right. Keep you're eyes open for a powerline with a HUGE nest (about the size of a volkswagon beetle) then you'll know you've arrived! Good luck Jeanette!

That's a girl. No red head, just the red necklace. Try using 320 or 640 ISO instead of 500 less noise at 640. It has to do with the 50D. My birds fight so my pics are getting harder to get. The males are so aggressive ....Rich
