Looks like we lost the rest of the troop on this thread, where are our regulars?? Everyone must be burnt out or are having withdrawal symptoms... Maybe Noelle's scared away by the fierce competition, tossing in the towel?

Conrad, the terns are sharp and well captured.......good work there.
You just need to continue working on exposure, framing and pp. Remember, none of it comes overnight.
I've been kinda busy in the past few days testing a 200mm lens.....on everything including Common Terns.
That's amazing how you got the gull so well exposed with such a bright BG Peter! Good stuff!
Can't wait to see your explosion of photos if you're going to derail the Conrad express! He's taken it up a notch since last you guys met... Kinda like his gull vs duckling shots and his quote, "but it was not to be denied it's kill". ...now who will be the gull and who will be the duckling!??

Looking at this again I see my terns are surely underexposed and too much in the middle of the frame. Thanks again for the tips Peter! I appreciate it!
@Conrad, does your owl ever fly? And does he ever stand on a natural perch other than that fence? Maybe it's time for me to get the old 2x4 and hammer out and build some "artificial" natural perch for the old guy!

He does fly haha! But he comes back after 5 or 10 minutes. Going to look for a branch or stump and tie it off the fence next time and wait to see what happens!

Conrad, the last set of owl pictures is very nice....shows the strength of having a pretty background. Well framed, well exposed and all.
Thanks Peter! I owe a lot of my development to you. You da man! Funny now I'm getting to the point where if the BG is not nice, I hesitiate to take the shot. Haha! But I still have a bit of spray-n-pray tendencies to shake off haha!

The 400 f/5.6 does Noelle's buddies.
Now THOSE are some sick looking cormorants! #2 is my fav! Poor Noelle... she will be so jealous! She's been MIA lately... maybe she's gone off on a photo bender to get us all!
