I'm telling ya dude... Lazy eye (photoshopped straight like her frankenstein egret), smelly feet, shops HSN too much, snores like a chainsaw, and ice cold feet... Trust me I know the type!
Before you kids turn this thread into a sort of a dating service, someone better pull it back to 400 f/5.6 photography.
The terns are back in small numbers. Hopefully withing a week or so they'll be ripe for picking. One of my favourite BIF targets, especially the Common Tern.

Very cool Peter. I have been trying all morning, but I can't seem to get as sharp/focused pictures on this particular 1D as I can with my 50D, or even my 5DII for some reason. Grr.... could it be this model needs calibration or something? Maybe thats why this guy wants to trade it for my 85mm straight across.

I need to get more interesting shots like this one you have Peter. All I seem to get is them flying around. Pretty dull after a while. Behavior shots are far more interesting! I'll see what I can find today.

A number of terns hang out at the Hayward Shoreline Preserve but they were a bit shy and tended to fly a mile in the sky, at least while I was there this past Saturday:
Man.. Wing... you've been holding out! Hehe... Great shots buddy. Love that shot of the swallow! Very hard to get! Nice exposure on the grebes as well!

Looks like the dwarf hawk thought to be extinct back in the late 60's. They're about the size of a postage stamp. Closely related to the rare dwarf eagle which I captured once with my 60mm macro: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3453/3213850062_a2b5468591.jpg
