I took this recently in my attempt to do people photography. I've put it up on B&W and the People Forums where everyone said go easy on the vignetting next time. You know, shooting street candids like this is almost as hard as shooting BIF! Just thought I'd share.

Haha! That's right!! They were wonderful to listen to. She's still performing there. Two person band this time.
Comes to mind that the mullet hairdo has been very much popularized by Canadian hockey players, i.e., our nations' brightest who are the epitome of noble and gentlemanly sportsmanship.

I laugh only because I started growing one about a month ago designed to trump the one I had in 1988 haha!

That's exactly what I think we need to do, Conrad. Take ordinary subjects (birds) such as crows and seagulls and sparrows and try to capture them in interesting photographs.
The best photographers have a special talent form turning "ordinary" subjects and scenes into inordinary and beautiful imagery. That I find to be the most difficult aspect of the photography craft. Something worth striving towards.
Petkal.... I like this image a lot!!
I try my best to get images like this. Sometimes I get lucky.

I saw this pair of some kind of waterfowl but could not get any better shots than these. They were very shy and kept hiding behind tall brush. Anyone know what these are? Sorry they are a little blown out. Tough afternoon lighting conditions.
Nice looking lions Noelle. I need to visit a zoo, but probably with the 100-400mm.
@ everyone: Let me ask you guys something, I have a guy who wants to trade his 7K click 1D Mk II N for my 85m Mk II straight across. My copy is very sharp, but I really don't use it. Should I do it? Or should I wait for the 1D III prices to come down a bit (despite all the AF issues I read about) I keep hearing that even if the 1D IIN is "only" 8mp camera, it is still a better performer in most every way to the 1D III. Thoughts?
Its TRUE! Its a gag my buddies and I are doing for the summer. Hehe... As far as the mkIIn, its a 1.3 cropright? The guy is letting me borrow it for a couple days. As I am letting him borrow my 85mm for a couple days too. We'll see what happens!
