I had always wondered why my photos don't stack up, I've been doing it all wrong these years, you've shown me the light, Petkal. Telephoto's for bugs and Macros for BIF.
Yes, sorry if I hadn't made that more clear in the past. BTW, your photos do stack up very well.....once you make an appropriate lens selection, you will do fab.
Here is the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM Macro in action........it makes a rather well performing BIF lens.

Hey speaking of Conrad, where is he!!?? Wasting time doing Actual work!? Where are his priorities?
Newsflash exclusive: Conrad has commenced digging his backyard and turning it into a Bald Eagle sanctuary called "Homer II".
The writing is on the wall already: Noelle is gonna be toast.
Conrad, those are some excellent shots. The Hooded Oriole is a beaut.
Looks like you got a Harrier as well. Good action with a crow mobbing a hawk.
I think despite all rain you have conquered.

Feel free to help out. But I think we've got a long ways to go to catch up with some of those "sticky" threads.
Actually, I am helping out with the number of page views...this thread is over 10K!!
This is the first thread I check on FM every day, and I probably check it a couple of times a day to read it! I haven't added a post here though... only on the "Nature and Wildlife" forum.

Chris, I think that is great that you look in the thread every day. I know we get off track sometimes but we are learning from each other and you can see how much we have improved.
@Conrad: Congrats, you've found some new birds to add to your collection/arsenal, including 2 hawks. I can ID the Northern Harrier but can someone confirm if the 2nd hawk is a Redtail? The oriole is very nice too, I don't think I've come across one of those yet. Good job! Now the competition is really heating up! Noelle's move next...

Thanks Peter. Yes yes.... "conquered" is a good description! It encompasses my efforts in the rain AND against our little lady friend.

Thanks Wing! That harrier was so damn high in the air. I wish I could have gottend a better shot. I've never seen an oriole before either! It was such a good day yesterday. My collection/arsenal grows. Hehe...
