Some deeply forked tail type swallows are starting to nest nearby. I'll pre focus next weekend and try it! Thanks all!

Conrad, real men shoot swallows only in full-throttle flight.
(This was shot with the 200 f/2.8 prime.....don't seem to have any shot with the 400.)

Mr. PetKal...I will get a SIF next time with no tripod and it will be sharp!

I was just trying to help out our friend Conrad so he does not feel bad that I am kicking his butt !!!

I like that shot very much, Wing. It is spirited and whimsical and it breaks away from the garden-variety stilted N&W photography paradigms.
(BTW, you owe me $14.78 for this critique. I'll accept a postal money order. )

thanks petkal, put it on my tab... That's actually me startling some sort of duck from under a bridge as I walked over it and me not picking up my weapon fast enough to shoot.

I like this image.... I like the way the grass is reflecting and the colors of the ducks feathers are really nice!

Thank you, Noelle, that's one sweet pijun......exposed right, sharp, perfect colours, against a very interesting texture fore/background.

PetKal....I was so bummed out the day I was taking these. I accidentally deleted a file of a pijun taking a bath

The backround is the parking lot they hang out in. They look pretty cool when the fluff their feathers this way.

With this running duck the problem was that I sneaked up to him way too close, so I ran out of any framing margin.

PetKal... I love those ducks!

The ones in the bay here are too far away for me to get a good image of.

I have that problem sometimes at the park with the 400mm...to close

Thank you, Chupacabra.

I personally don't mind PP at all as long as I am not using it......

* as a crutch by taking the emphasis away from developing/improving my photographic skill, and

* to distort/falsify the reality photographed.

However, obviously different people have different ideas on how photography and computer graphics interact and blend with each other.

Ah feel the same way! Thanks!
