If I hit the jackpot then I'll forget about the 300 and go for a 500mm f/4 L IS and 70-200 f/2.8 L IS
If Canon introduces a 200-400mm f/4 I then I'll take that one instead of the 300mm or 500mm!
Got the M20 and 3541XLS. Decided not to buy the 300 f/2.8. Will buy a 100-400mm in two weeks time and save the rest of the money for a 500mm f/4.
Trip to BC and SE Alaska is postponed but in I will arrive in Yellowstone on May 28th.
I'm considering buying a 5D MKII but still on the fence with contrary reports. Having owned two MKIIIs that were less than satisfactory I'm still in the waiting games to see what happens.
I would like another MKIII but I'm just not that confident to go down that road again.
The big ticket items I want are the 50L, 28-300L and maybe the new 1D if it comes out this year. I still want a fisheye - I don't know why I haven't picked one up. I have a preorder for the CV 20mm 3.5 - so I hope that comes soon.
I am really very happy with my set up right now - anything I add to it would just be things I want to try and not necessarily need.
I'd love to sell the 200L f/2.8 II and pick up the 200L f/2IS but that won't happen in 2009 unless I hit the trifecta on the Kentucky Derby. So it might happen.
